Sen. Steve Farley’s Statement On Governor Ducey’s State of the State Speech

Phoenix, AZ–  Another year, another State of the State address highlighting Governor Ducey’s broken promises to invest in education.
“The governor likes to speak about driverless cars but I’m more concerned about teacher-less classrooms,” said Senator Steve Farley. “He said nothing about any funding that would be able to help our crisis where 52.2% of our current teaching position are either vacant or being held by somebody without proper qualifications.”
Farley added “This was yet another speech by Governor Ducey that is full of hollow promises and void of anything close to a real plan to fix our education system. Arizona deserves better and there is no expectation of change until we elect a leader willing to fight for our public schools.”
